We are officially accepting submissions for our 2024 Trashion Show through May 31st. Learn more about the application process below.
1. Design
- Design an original outfit, individually or as a team, that is durable enough to be worn throughout the show
- Your design should be inspired by this year’s theme: Eco-Chic Elegance
- At least 75% of your outfit must be created from trash, reclaimed or recycled material that can safely be worn on the body.
- You may use, but are not limited to, plastic, paper, card-
board, metal, glass, fabric or other would be discarded materials - Designers must provide a model to wear each outfit
2. Submit
- Your submission with $40 entry fee must be received by May 31st, 2024
- Use the Sign Up Form to submit a description of your proposed design and the materials to be used to create your garment.
- After filling out the form, submit photos of existing work or sketches of proposed design: front, back, & side of outfit
3. Showcase
- Show off your Eco-Chic creation on the runway at our Trashion Show on June 7th!
- Win Cash Prizes!
First Place: $500
Runner Up: $250
People’s Choice: $125
Best Model: $125 - Recruit your friends, family, and coworkers to get creative and join in on the fun in support of sustainability and affordable housing!

Our 2023 Trashion Show Winners!
Congrats to designer Nancy Watts for winning first place at our Trashion Show this year! Modeled by Riley, this dress was made entirely with men’s ties.
2nd place winners: the Guardian Gals at Guardian Northwest Title & Escrow and their model Jazzie. Their Little Metal Dress made from about 3500 pop can tabs, bubble wrap, garbage bags & miscellaneous jewelry and accessories.
3rd place winner: Nancy Watts, and model Chris Moon. Their dress was made out of dryer sheets. The sheets were dyed and fused onto a sheet to create a Jackie Kennedy-inspired wiggle dress.
