Build Community Day 2025
Kendall & Maple Falls
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Build Community Day in Kendall and Maple Falls!
Together, we completed four repair projects for low-income homeowners in these neighborhoods. Projects included a major yard cleanup, fence repair, weatherization, and the installation of accessible exterior stairs.
Thanks to the Whatcom Community Foundation’s Project Neighborly Program, we were able to execute these critical repairs to help build resilience for low income homeowners and strengthen the entire community.
We also want to thank the Whatcom County Health Department, The Chuckanut Health Foundation, and our many volunteers for making this day possible.
North Fork Pizza, Flax 4 Life, and the Bean Water kindly donated lunch, snacks, and coffee to keep our crews going.
Jessica Rienstra and Kyle Christensen, two candidates for Whatcom County Council District 3, volunteered their time with us in the morning and participated in a housing-focused forum during lunch.
