Women Build

What is Women Build?

Since 1991, Women Build volunteers from all walks of life have come together to build stronger, safer communities. Women Build opportunities are available across the U.S., and any woman who wants to learn how to build and construct a home is invited to join us. No experience is necessary!

Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals, and alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. We at Habitat provide opportunities for hands-on learning, and given these tools, women can succeed in changing their communities! Whether you what to learn all new skills or simply add a few more to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and improves the community that we share.

Women Build is a terrific way to involve your friends and family of all ages and genders in crucial work with a lasting impact. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message. Through Women Build we can empower women to help families build strength, stability and independence.

Join Habitat & the 2020 Whatcom Women Build!

Whatcom Women Build is bringing together over 100 women to build & help raise funding for 12 homes at the Telegraph Townhomes! In addition to joining Habitat Construction on site, teams can work together to fund raise $20,000 to help cover the cost of construction & support our mission of building affordable homes for low-income families! All of your efforts will make a huge difference in the lives of our partner home buyers & we would love to have you be a part of this amazing movement!

VAC, HUNGARY (8/19/14)- Volunteer Cathy Martin, from Atlanta, Georgia, helps to rehabilitate the Csapó family's home. Imre Csapó (47), his wife Krisztina (45) and their daughters Anna (10) and Sára (13) live in Vác. Imre works as a caretaker at the local school, where Krisztina works as a janitor. The family wanted to insulate their home for years, but their modest income made that impossible until they heard about HFH Hungary's thermal insulation program. A Global Village team helped to insulate their home. ©Habitat for Humanity International/Ezra Millstein
