Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County

AugustNewsletter-3

Join WCAR for a virtual auction fundraiser to benefit Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County on Friday, August 14th, from 6 to 7:30pm.

In lieu of the annual golf tournament the WCAR golf committee is organizing a super fun, free, and interactive virtual fundraiser! We will be bringing the fun, games and auction items online so mark your calendars to join us raising funds to support affordable home ownership in Whatcom County!

This virtual event is FREE and open to everyone. Please share this invitation with your friends, family & network if you’d like!

WCAR members, friends and families will join together virtually to help build a world where everyone has a safe, decent and affordable place to live. The 2020 WCAR Tees for Keys is an online fundraiser that brings the fun and impact of the in-person golf tournament to benefit Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

You can now register for the event here! We will send you updates and notifications as we lead up to August 14th. A few days prior to August 14th the silent auction will open for bids and you will be able to purchase tickets to the Ball Drop, raffle tickets and VIP packages. On August 14th, at 6pm we will live stream the event (link will be sent to you and will be found on the WCAR website and social media channels) and you will be able to watch the program and celebrate winners as well as bid on items and make donations all on this website.

The need for support has never been greater. All funds raised throughout the virtual gala will provide critical funding to further the construction of 9 affordable homes throughout Whatcom County. These home ownership opportunities for low income people and families in our community help to contribute to stable, healthy families and support educational and economic success. With a safe, decent, affordable home, an education, a sense of belonging to a caring community, and the financial security of home ownership, families can break the cycle of poverty for generations to come.

A huge thank you to the Whatcom County Association of Realtors for putting the event together, as well as our sponsor Umpqua Bank!
