Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County

Habitatstore4site

Many of you avid Habitat shoppers may already know, but our Whatcom Habitat Store is now open–with some temporary changes, of course! For the continued safety of our staff, volunteers, patrons and community, only 20 customers will be allowed in the building any given time and will be required to wear masks while on site. For our part, members of our team will be wearing gloves and facemasks, as well as sanitizing high-traffic areas regularly. To further aid in our efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19, we ask that you also kindly respect social distancing.

As an additional shopping option, The Habitat Store is now online! Hand-picked items are selected regularly and posted to our new online store for your convenience and safety. All purchases are available for easy curbside pickup once you have been notified your order is ready–typically within one to two days. Make sure to check back frequently at Shop.hfhwhatcom.org, as new treasures are posted daily.

Along with the reopening of our store, home pick ups are continuing all over Whatcom. As a reminder, we ask that you only donate goods less than 60 pounds and items easily handled by one individual–as only one member of our team will be assigned to each truck. Please have the items ready for pick up outside as we are not currently entering into homes.

If you wish to donate items directly to our store, we have also opened for donation drop offs. When you arrive at our dock, please wait in your vehicle to discuss unloading options. We encourage you to unload your items, but, if you are unable to for any reason, our staff will happily unload it for you while you wait patiently in your car. We also encourage you to watch our highly instructional video on the process.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Your continued support through purchases and donations, whether monetarily or in the form of well-loved household items, is at the heart of this organization and allows us to further our goal of providing affordable homes here in Whatcom County.
