Mason bees get their name for their using mud (or other “masonry” substances) in constructing their nests. Mason bees easily adapt to “bee houses,” and are a vital native pollinator in the Pacific Northwest. Adding mason bees to your backyard ecosystem is a fun way to increase your home fruit and berry production.

Raised beds make it possible to create complex, flexible growing systems in any home garden. They can also be used to control erosion and hep you conserve water. If you have a small home-garden area, raised beds also help you increase your crop production by making more growing space available. Almost any garden can benefit from adding raised planter beds.
