Become a Habitat volunteer

We’re so excited that you want to get involved with Habitat Whatcom! There are many ways you can participate in the creation of safe, decent, affordable housing in Whatcom County. Habitat has a variety of opportunities for volunteers year round. **COVID-19 Update: Currently we are conducting new volunteer orientations remotely via phone and email. All volunteer opportunities are open to current and new volunteers. Safety precautions have been implemented throughout the organization such as: Frequent cleaning of all commonly touched surfaces. Masks and gloves are required when volunteering at the Habitat Store and on the Build Site. Masks, gloves, hand washing stations and safety goggles will be provided by Habitat although we encourage volunteers to bring reusable masks and gloves to help reduce waste. We ask everyone to maintain 6 ft distance from others and all tasks are arranged to accommodate this.
