Lynden’s Marlin’s Auto Service takes good care of Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County’s trucks, which are used heavily for donation pick up and a critical component of the Habitat Store operations. Marlin, owner of Marlin’s Auto Service, also supports our mission through donations. Recently, Habitat Store crew went to pick up donations in North Whatcom County when the donation truck they were driving had a mechanical failure. The truck was quickly delivered to Marlin’s Auto Service on East Pole Road in Lynden, and within a matter of days Habitat Store crew were able to pick up the much needed donation truck, outfitted with a new alternator.
It wasn’t just a safe, reliable truck–integral to the store’s daily operation–which was picked up from Marlin’s Auto Service, but also a check for $100 made out to Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County. Marlin has been collecting donations on his front counter and was proud to present us with this generous donation. Thank you Marlin!
